JA Lake View Hotel officially opens its doors to guests today!

The BSBG-designed 5-star JA Lake View Hotel has today officially welcomed its first guests! After a soft launch last week, during which a number of BSBG’s senior management staff enjoyed a stay at the 348-room hotel, the public is now able to witness the fruits of a project BSBG has worked on for the last three years… Features of the new hotel include three swimming pools, four F&B offerings including a rooftop bar, and a full complement of business and meeting facilities. The four F&B outlets are comprised of 81 – an all-day dining restaurant, an Indian restaurant called Kinara by Vikas Khannais, a gastro lounge with landscaped terrace called Republik, and the rooftop shisha and cocktail bar named Bibé, the orientation of which promises guests one of the most spectacular views available of the Dubai sunset over the Arabian Sea.

In addition to design of the architecture, structure and interiors of the hotel, BSBG was the lead consultant, contract administrator and technical supervision consultant throughout construction. The project has been delivered within a construction period of just two years.

“The design is focused on the precise details, all of which combine to create a unique hotel experience based on the interaction of spaces.”

JA Lake View Hotel adds an interesting new dynamic to Dubai’s hospitality sector by creating a connection between guests and the surrounding environment. From the adjacent greens of the golf course, to the ocean backdrop, all architectural features, elements and materiality seek to establish an inextricable link between indoors and outdoors, while the journey of the end user is based upon the concept of flow and continuity, as each space is designed to seamlessly integrate with the next.Beginning with the large-scale open space of the atrium and its feature mashrabiya ceiling pattern, to the rooftop bar, which continues the design language, each crafted space adds extra dimensions to the narrative, while retaining a fluid connection to the overall design theme.

Precise details

BSBG Managing Partner Alistair McMillan offered his thoughts on the successful delivery of the project: “I’m extremely proud of the efforts of our design and delivery teams in their work on JA Lake View Hotel,” he said. “The design is focused on the precise details, all of which combine to create a unique hotel experience based on the interaction of spaces – and the connection between indoors and outdoors. Accomplishing our design vision has involved the highest level of coordination, and understanding of how to successfully deliver a high-end, 5-star hospitality project of this scale. I’m sure the legacy of JA Lake View Hotel will see it become one of the most popular destinations for visitors to Dubai, and also as a resort of choice for those that already live in and around the city.”
Further establishing the connection between the hotel and the environment, JA Lake View Hotel is among the first to completely eradicate the use of plastic bottles onsite, and enable paperless check-in for guests. The hotel also becomes the first in Dubai to feature a voice activated Guest Room Management System (GRMS).
