In 2018, Brewer Smith Brewer Group (BSBG) completed Bluewaters Residences, a component of the Bluewaters island masterplan which incorporates residential, hospitality and retail components upon a man-made island – the centrepiece of which is planned to be ferris wheel Ain Dubai.

For many reasons Bluewaters has become an icon of modern architecture in the Middle East and beyond. The quality of the residences, the technical magnificence exhibited throughout construction – from reclaiming the land, to under sea parking and the engineering expertise involved that was delivered on a fast track programme.

Almost immediately having delivered The Beach for Meraas, BSBG again provided lead consultancy, executive architecture, executive interior design and construction supervision on the developer’s new project, Bluewaters Residential; tasked with delivering the concept design with the same fast track efficiency and quality as was produced on the waterfront retail and entertainment development previously. The result, completed just a few years later, has gone on to become one of the standout features of the BSBG portfolio and one of the key architectural developments in Dubai.

Following up from The Beach retrospective documentary, the Bluewaters Residential +executive film takes us through the journey of the project, featuring interviews with Partner Kevin Harper, Alistair Bradley (Associate), Steven Bailey (Head of Structures), Ahmed Ismael (Associate), Richard Griffiths (Lead Architectural Technologist) and Joseph Corcoran (Project Director), as we learn about the challenges and the value BSBG brought in delivering the stunning residential component of the island development.
