BSBG announces Tom Skyring as Head of Interior Design

Brewer Smith Brewer Group (BSBG) has announced the expansion of its Interior Design studio, with the addition of new Head of Interior Design, Tom Skyring. Tom is a renowned, award-winning Interior Designer with more than 35 years’ experience, including 24 years at the head of his own studio.

Tom’s portfolio includes a range of high-end F&B and hospitality projects, and his work has gained him numerous industry awards and accolades, including New Zealand’s premier design award, the NZD Stringer. He joins BSBG having previously worked in senior positions for numerous high profile interior design firms in the UAE.

“I have found it really enjoyable and incredibly engaging in terms of the projects we’re involved with,” Tom said. “We want to push the envelope here in terms of the creative output, and with the talent pool and the quality of clients we have, it’s an incredibly exciting time to be at BSBG. It’s an honour for me to lead the talented Interior Design studio, working closely with Mike Lewis and +studio to bring creative and technically resolved solutions that we can then take forward and build.”

Alistair McMillan, BSBG Managing Partner, expressed his delight at bringing Tom in to run the Interior Design studio. “Tom’s experience and the quality of his design is first class,” he said. “Our Interior Design studio has grown steadily since 2007, and it has been a priority for our business to provide clients with an ID offering which complements the creative and technical excellence of +studio. With Tom and Mike (Lewis) leading our design teams, we have added an incredibly exciting new dimension to an already award-winning proposition.”

Tom joins to head up an established, award-winning interior design studio at BSBG, with an extensive portfolio of projects across multiple sectors, including hospitality projects such as JA Lake View Hotel, Le Meridien Mina Seyahi and Grand Hyatt Dubai; residential developments Banyan Tree Residences and Bluewaters Residences, and retail/F&B projects including The Dubai Mall, Festival Plaza and The Beach.
