BSBG Senior Management conducts One Clapham Phase 3 site visit

Brewer Smith Brewer Group (BSBG) Senior Management conducted a site visit at One Clapham in London to inspect construction progress on the project. Managing Partner, Alistair McMillan, and Senior Partner, Andrew Bereza were provided with an in-depth tour and update on the project’s progress by Jack Walker, Architectural Technologist.

Following the concrete topping-out ceremony, which marked a major structural milestone with the completion of all concrete works on-site, a number of additional milestones have been reached in recent months at One Clapham. This includes the completion and handover of the first of six buildings, Block D, with residents already moving into their new homes.

Additionally, external brickwork is now complete on Block 3C, with scaffolding due to be removed from Block 7 in the coming weeks, following completion of the project’s most intricate brickwork. Balconies are now fully installed on both Blocks 3C and 3D.

Commenting on the progress at site, Alistair McMillan said: “I’ve been really impressed by the entire development, the workmanship, quality of finish, the apartment layouts and the overall commitment to producing a high-end residential scheme. We’re delighted to be involved in the project with our long-term partner, Mount Anvil, and I look forward to seeing the development completed.”

Andrew Bereza added: “It’s been great to be out on site at our second large scale development with Mount Anvil, and I hope they’re as pleased as we are with the outcome. It’s been a really successful process and project, and we can’t wait to see it completed.”

About One Clapham Phase 3

Phase Three of One Clapham is comprised of 307 homes split across six buildings. Each building is unique in design and features distinctive brickwork that reflects the history of the area and its long-standing relationship with the railway industry.

The unique brickwork is complex and varied across each of the six buildings that make up the development. The brick texture is vital because of the sensitivity of the site, with the project featuring multiple different types of brick, with both diverse brickwork and glazed brickwork. Each building has its own style and complex details, including bespoke brick shapes and brick art incorporated within the brickwork itself.

Wellbeing is also at the forefront of the scheme, with the development featuring a residential Peloton fitness hub alongside a new village square, wildflower gardens, and trees.
