Our Q3 construction update is comprised of three ongoing projects: Banyan Tree Residences – Hillside Dubai, Mulberry Residential for Emaar and Private Residences by Dorchester Collection.
Visible now are the impressive 30-metre ‘free-standing’ concrete columns – one of the hallmarks of the Foster + Partners design for the building. Glazing installation has started moving upwards from level 7. Having confirmed in April that the construction programme is on target for a 2020 delivery, developer Omniyat has issued further information on what to expect from the exclusive development.
Features of the hotel are as follows: elevated grand arrival and lobby; 225 guest rooms and feature suites; lobby tea lounge and secret garden; ballroom and conference facilities; signature restaurants and extensive landscaped gardens; luxury spa and gym with skyline views; rooftop bar and infinity-edge pool.
Just 39 residences will feature in the development, comprised of six penthouses with swimming pools, eight double-height four-bedroom apartments, eight duplex four-bedroom apartments, with nine two-bedroom, six three-bedroom and two standard four-bedroom apartments. Roberts Constructions was procured by Omniyat on a Design and Build form of contract, and BSBG was novated to Roberts Constructions as the lead consultant and technical supervision consultant in early 2018.
Banyan Tree Residences – Hillside Dubai remains on track, with the tower glazing and façade approaching a close, while landscaping of the grounds is now well under way. Banyan Tree Residences – Hillside Dubai presents resort-style urban living for the end-user, with the higher floors of the building providing panoramic views across Dubai. BSBG provided full design solutions for the award-winning building, and is also lead consultant responsible for technical supervision throughout the construction process as it approaches completion. The district cooling chilled water connection will be completed shortly and the MEP systems testing and commissioning is underway.
More than 200 residents have now moved in to Mulberry Phase 1, while on Phase 2 apartment interior finishings are close to completion. The Building Completion Certificate was issued in May this year, however now full landscaping is complete and the entirety of the Dubai Hills neighbourhood is beginning to take shape, the appeal of Mulberry as a high-end living destination is self-evident. BSBG was responsible for the design of the development, including eight low-rise buildings consisting of 698 apartments, common areas, gymnasiums and swimming pools. BSBG was also appointed for post-contract services as the lead consultant, the contract administrator and the technical supervision consultant throughout the construction period.
