BSBG announces new company mission and vision

Brewer Smith Brewer Group (BSBG) has today unveiled a new mission and vision statement, reinforcing its commitment to the design and delivery of best-in-class architecture across the world.

The new mission and vision was announced by BSBG Managing Partner Alistair McMillan, in response to the natural evolution of the group’s design methodology and refined executive architecture proposition.

Mission

To improve, inspire and contribute to a future focused on people

Vision

To connect people with places through creative design and technical expertise

“Our new mission and vision statements reflect the values and approach we have as both a design studio and executive architecture practice,” Managing Partner Alistair McMillan explained. “We take pride in our track record of designing architecture that evokes a response within the end user, and some of our most recent and current work serves to reinforce the focus we have on designing for people.”

BSBG’s award winning design hub, +studio, is led by Group Design Director Michael Lewis. Examining and understanding the connection between people and places is one of the fundamental principles that manifests itself throughout the body of work recently produced by +studio. 5-star hospitality offerings such as JA Lake View Hotel, Banyan Tree Residences - Hillside Dubai and SHA Emirates have the wellbeing of people and the way in which they interact with buildings and the natural environment at the very heart of their respective concepts. In addition, the single-tenancy design of the Visa Middle East Headquarters Building, which recently picked up two Arabia Property Awards, is concentrated on the way in which the building interacts with the public realm, while the concept, developed in collaboration with leading developer Sweid & Sweid, provides a platform for more than 300 staff of one of the world’s prominent financial organisations to interact and innovate within a bespoke, crafted modern communal business hub.

The announcement of the new BSBG mission and vision statement coincides with the imminent launch of BSBG Riyadh. Already the BSBG +executive offering, which comprises Lead Consultancy and Executive Architecture/Interior Design solutions, has been engaged on multiple projects within the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, including the delivery of a confidential premium school project within one of Riyadh’s most prominent districts, as well as an extensive hospitality and residential development located nearby in a key new district recently unveiled in Saudi Arabia – where innovation, sustainability and preservation of culture and wellbeing are at the forefront of the design aspirations.

“We have a number of new and exciting projects in the pipeline in Dubai, Riyadh and London,” Alistair continued. “The commonality within all the new projects BSBG is taking involvement in is that they are geared towards creating and also preserving the future for following generations - whereby the wellbeing of people is pivotal - as well as exhibiting a genuine respect for the natural environment - to substantially reduce the impact building architecture has on the planet, and where possible to enhance and strengthen the relationship between the built form and its surroundings. These have become elemental factors that form the basis of modern architectural ideals, and they also form the basis of our values as architects and designers. I believe our new mission and vision perfectly encapsulate this way of thinking.”

BSBG is currently delivering the +studio design for Visa Middle East Headquarters and The Royal Grammar School Guildford Dubai, both located in the UAE, while in London the Silk District Phase 2 residential project is moving towards stage 5 construction. More will follow on these projects, with additional new project announcements to be made in due course.
