Brewer Smith Brewer Group (BSBG) has announced the promotion of Andrew Bereza and Kevin Harper to Senior Partners, and of Jamie Armitage to Partner. These and a number of additional group-wide promotions reflect the commitment within the group to talent and growth.

Since joining BSBG in 2006, Andrew Bereza has led the delivery of projects which include The Beach, ICD Brookfield Place, The Opus and the IRENA Headquarters Building in Masdar City, Abu Dhabi. His recent focus has been on expanding BSBG’s network and areas of operation, taking responsibility for instilling the group’s international standards, and providing a coherent vision as BSBG’s principal in developing new markets.

Kevin Harper is now in his 18^th year with BSBG – in that time overseeing large scale projects such as The Island, Bluewaters Residences, BLVD Crescent, JA Lake View Hotel and Festival Plaza. He is responsible for the Architectural Division and is a major contributor to the progressive development of BSBG’s project and practice management systems, essential in ensuring high standards of design, documentation and project delivery are upheld and continually improved.

Managing the delivery teams on site, Jamie Armitage has overseen the smooth handover of the majority of BSBG projects completed since 2016. As a qualified Arbitrator and a Chartered Building Services Engineer, he specialises in contract administration, technical supervision services, claims review and assessment, dispute avoidance and international arbitration.

Senior Promotions

Additionally, a number of long-term BSBG team members have been rewarded with promotions for continual excellence and demonstrating a commitment to the group vision. Steven Bailey, Demetri Tourtouras and Chris Brown become Directors, while Ahmed Ismael and Alistair Bradley (London) each take up the position of Associate Director.

Three new Associates have been announced, with Technologists Mark Vaughan and Richard Griffiths and Engineer Basheer Bava being rewarded for outstanding contributions to some of the most significant projects within the recent BSBG portfolio.

Alistair McMillan, BSBG Managing Partner, commented: “The announcement of these promotions reflects years of dedication and hard work from our staff, and the senior management team is full of talented people ready to continue to drive the business forward. Despite the global challenges experienced by the vast majority in recent years, and the inevitable impact this had on recruitment and promotions across the group, our key markets of Dubai, London and Riyadh are witnessing renewed levels of activity, and we have seen significant recent engagements in each of these locations. From a talent acquisition perspective, 2021 has been one of our busiest, however we remain committed to our CPD programme, and developing the outstanding talent that we have within the business.”

McMillan continued: “The market perception of the BSBG brand continues to grow, and in terms of high-quality design and integrated delivery, we remain as one of the market leaders in the Middle East, while in London our stock continues to grow. This is down to our people and the value they bring on a daily basis. It’s a pleasure to work alongside such a dedicated team each day, as together we take on the challenges of designing and delivering world class architecture for our clients.”
