Monolithic by design, a large-scale expansion of one of the world’s most renowned shopping malls

A nine-storey retail development designed to complement one of the world’s largest malls, The Dubai Mall Zabeel project is situated parallel to Financial Center Road in Dubai. The expansion is positioned opposite the mall’s main entrance, running adjacent to the public facing façade, and is linked by a footbridge which extends across the highway.

Introducing a contemporary architectural narrative through the incorporation of unique articulation and design features, whilst retaining a visual connection to the existing mall, the expansion adds 63 retail units and more than 3,000 car parking spaces to the busiest shopping destination in the UAE.

A flagship retail store and landscaped pedestrian esplanade featuring outdoor cafés and dining options both serve to present the expansion as an exclusive destination in solitary, while adding a complementary quality to an enduringly popular tourist destination.
