An intricate transformation of a Grade II listed building

One of the key challenges faced in delivering the refurbishment of the hotel, previously owned by Hilton, was the exceptionally intricate nature of the complete transformation required.

The hotel is an existing structure which has, over the course of two centuries, expanded throughout differently configured existing properties. The hotel spans 15 interlinking 19th Century Georgian townhouses, seven of which are Grade II listed buildings, with 172 guest rooms running along almost the entirety of one side of Half Moon Street – a street once commonly frequented by Oscar Wilde. The Grade II listed status of the development, together with the differing layouts, floor levels and conditions across the 15 buildings, introduced a series of highly complex and unique challenges.
