Brewer Smith Brewer Group (BSBG) has announced its appointment as Lead Consultant, Executive Architect, Structural Engineer, and Executive Interior Designer on Wedyan, the first super-prime residential development under Al Ghurair Collection, designed by Kengo Kuma and Associates.

Strategically located along the Dubai Canal, Wedyan is a 46-storey residential tower, the design of which is inspired by the movement of desert rock formations and the organic rhythm of sand and water. The tower’s sculptural form features fluid curves and a layered façade that echo the natural landscapes of the region, embodying both authenticity and innovation.

From its dramatic underground arrival to the stepped geometry of its upper terraces, Wedyan features meticulously crafted design elements focused on the provision of a unique end-user experience, while providing stunning views of Dubai Canal and the surrounding skyline at every opportunity. The tower is comprised of 149 bespoke residences, each uniquely designed in terms of area, shape, height, landscaping, and terrace geometry.

Project Director, Tamer Tageldin, explained more about the project. He said: “The development has 83,000 square metres of GFA and nearly 200,000 square metres of built-up area. Our role is to translate the design language into reality, ensuring the craftsmanship, detailing, and spatial flow are executed with the highest level of technical excellence. It has required exceptional technical coordination to deliver Kengo Kuma’s architectural vision with precision. Our multidisciplinary scope integrates executive architecture, structure, and interiors, and we have applied a holistic approach to ensure the design intent is fully realised through our delivery expertise, digital integration, and buildability insight. It’s an honour for BSBG to play a key role in delivering such a distinctive and culturally resonant project for Al Ghurair.”

Launched at a time of unprecedented growth in Dubai’s ultra-luxury real estate sector, Wedyan signals a new era of design-led, lifestyle-driven residential developments. In the first half of 2025 alone, the city recorded over AED 431 billion in real estate transactions, underscoring sustained global demand for high-end living in Dubai.

Beyond its architectural form, Wedyan’s design concept celebrates storytelling, material integrity, and environmental balance, principles deeply aligned with BSBG’s own design philosophy.

“This project stands as a symbol of Dubai’s maturity as a global design destination,” said Nick Turbott, Partner. “Wedyan fuses art, architecture, and engineering to create a building that is not just seen, but experienced. It’s a showcase of how innovation, heritage, and craftsmanship can coexist in Dubai.”

Set to become one of the most recognisable silhouettes on the Dubai Canal, Wedyan will deliver a new benchmark in super-prime residential living. Featuring expansive terraces, dual kitchens, private pavilions, and more than 65,000 sq ft of amenities including wellness spaces, private treatment rooms, and sky gardens, the development offers a lifestyle rooted in nature, culture, and contemporary comfort.
