BSBG reveals design of Trio Park, first phase of Digital City Bahrain

Brewer Smith Brewer Group (BSBG) has revealed key design details of Trio Park, a connected commercial hub that forms the first phase of the Digital City Bahrain masterplan. Located at the Beyon Campus in Hamala, Bahrain, the project represents a significant milestone in the evolution of the Kingdom’s digital and innovation-led economy.

BSBG is the Concept Designer, Lead Consultant, and Executive Architect, overseeing the design and delivery of the development from inception through to execution.

Trio Park comprises three circular office buildings, totalling approximately 39,000 square metres of Gross Floor Area, each organised around a private internal courtyard. The buildings will house the new headquarters for Beyon Group, the headquarters of BNET, and a third leasable commercial office building.

In addition to office space, the development integrates retail and F&B offerings alongside a generous public realm, reinforcing Trio Park’s role as a collaborative and outward-facing workplace destination.

Setting the Benchmark for Digital City Bahrain

As the first phase of Digital City Bahrain, Trio Park has been conceived with the ambition of setting the benchmark for future phases of the masterplan. The design promotes wellness, productivity, and collaboration, creating an environment that supports innovation and partnership within Bahrain’s growing digital sector.

Each building follows a shared architectural strategy and signature format, reflecting the client’s public-facing brand identity through its distinctive circular form. The unique geometry prioritises the identity, presence, and experience of Beyon. At the heart of each building, the internal atrium functions as a social hub, activating the courtyard as a shared space for interaction and informal collaboration.

Arrival, Experience and Detail

A strong emphasis has been placed on arrival sequencing and user experience. Centralised arrival points for Beyon and BNET are carefully choreographed through landscape-led pedestrian routes, drop-off zones, and defined entrances. Architectural gestures such as canopies, façade banding, and entrance detailing reinforce a bespoke sense of arrival rather than a standard commercial solution.

From the earliest stages, the team tested multiple design options to unlock the most effective solution for the site. Advanced live 3D design models played a key role in this process, allowing the design to be experienced spatially and visually, not just in plan, and enabling informed decision-making around movement, access, and user interaction.

As Michael Lewis, Group Design Director at BSBG, explains, the approach goes beyond delivering a building framework: “The design process considers the experience at an exceptional level of detail, from arrival and movement through the site to how the buildings are used day to day. Architecture, landscape, and sequencing are developed together to create a fully integrated outcome.

“Through rigorous coordination, experienced technical teams, and a detail-driven design ethos, Trio Park is a clean, cohesive, and forward-looking commercial destination - one that establishes a strong foundation for the future growth of Digital City Bahrain.”

The project is targeting a LEED certification, aligning with wider sustainability objectives and reinforcing the long-term value of the development.
