Brewer Smith Brewer Group (BSBG) has won an international award for the interior design of JA Lake View Hotel. The Dubai Hotel Interior Award 2020 acknowledges the standout design and execution of the highest quality and specifications within the hospitality sector in the last 12 months in Dubai. BSBG completed the final handover of the 5-star JA Lake View Hotel in September of 2019.

Design Features

The interior spaces within the hotel focus on establishing a connection with nature and the external elements surrounding the development; the hotel opens out to a majestic landscape featuring a golf course, lakes and trees, with the Arabian Sea in the background.

Within the hotel are a number of key areas – the central atrium of the hotel is an architectural focal point, while Kinara by Vikas Khanna (Indian restaurant), 81 (all-day dining restaurant), Republik (gastro pub) and Bibé (rooftop lounge) are each unique concepts that serve to further establish the design narrative and the guest journey through the hotel and providing a unique experience, and a relaxing and luxurious escape from city life, where stress and worry is overcome by the feeling of tranquility and wellbeing.

BSBG Senior Interior Designer, Alia Soufan, was central to the design of the hotel’s interior spaces. “I am proud to have worked on this amazing project with a great team. JA Lake View Hotel was a passion project for me personally, and I love visiting this hotel with all it has to offer,” Alia said. “We’re delighted that JA Lake View Hotel has received the International Property Award for Hotel Interior in Dubai. For me, it’s incredibly rewarding to see guests enjoying the hotel and the facilities; and now it has become an award-winning interior design, it feels very nice that all of the hard work we put into the concept, the details and the execution has really paid off. There is nothing better than seeing your design come to life.”

The International Property Awards 2020 will this year be hosted virtually in November, due to coronavirus. In previous years, BSBG has won International Property Awards for the design of commercial office building, The Edge, luxury residential development, Banyan Tree Residences – Hillside Dubai, and last year for hospitality project Aloft City Centre Deira.
