Brewer Smith Brewer Group (BSBG) Associate Director, Alistair Bradley, and Lead Architectural Technologist, Elliott Peters, recently completed a site visit at One Clapham to inspect ongoing works on Phase Three of the sprawling new residential development adjacent to Clapham Junction. Six buildings make up the third phase of the project; BSBG is the Lead Consultant and Delivery Architect.

Progress Updates

The roof slab on Plot 3D (Virdis Apartments) is complete, with Steel Framing Systems (SFS) installation now underway. Plot 3C (Papillion Apartments) structure is nearing completion, whilst the slip form for the core on Plot 3B (Provence Apartments) is due to finish shortly. With the main below ground works complete, the remaining plots are also now starting to take shape.

BSBG has completed the Stage 4 design and is now focused on Stage 5 – supplier input and sub-contractor design-coordinated items such as SFS, windows, glazing and brickwork.

Commenting on the visit, Elliott Peters said: This site visit was about inspection of components relating to services, concrete frames and first-fix items on the site. The project is looking fantastic, and it’s progressing on programme.”

Alistair Bradley added: “It’s great to walk around with the team from (client) Mount Anvil, to see how construction is progressing, and to answer any design queries they may have. It’s going to be a fantastic addition to London’s housing stock when complete, and further cements our relationship with Mount Anvil as we look forward to more projects together.”

About One Clapham Phase Three

Phase Three of One Clapham is comprised of 307 homes split across six buildings. Each building is unique in design and features distinctive brick work that reflects the history of the area and its long-standing relationship with the railway industry.

The unique brickwork is complex and varied across each of the six buildings that make up the development. Brick texture is vital because of the sensitivity of the site, with the project featuring 11 different types of brick, diverse brickwork, and glazed brickwork. Each building has its own style and complex details, including bespoke brick shapes and brick art incorporated within the brickwork itself.

Wellbeing is also at the forefront of the scheme, with the development featuring a residential Peloton fitness hub alongside a new village square, wildflower gardens and trees.
