Construction at Six Senses The Palm, Dubai has hit numerous key milestones as the summer months approach, with the successful completion of all enabling works leading to majority site handover to the main contractor, iBuild Construction. Brewer Smith Brewer Group (BSBG) was engaged by client Select Group as the Lead Consultant, Architect of Record, Executive Architect and Structural Engineer, and is now providing Construction Supervision services on the project.

Commencement of the main works is now well underway, with the first basement raft concrete pour cast on 22^nd March 2023, which is now approximately 40% complete. In addition, the basement’s retaining walls, core walls and vertical elements are 30% complete. Meanwhile, the ground floor slab is approaching 20% completion. Approximately 12,310 m³ of concrete has so far been poured from a total quantity of 102,024 m³.

The initial concrete pour follows the successful completion of all shoring, piling and soil improvement works on site, marking the conclusion of the enabling works. Pile testing, excavation and piling breaking is approaching completion, with the entire area of the development set to be handed over to the main contractor by the end of May.
